I qualified as a Construction plumber 41 years ago at Olifantsfontein in 1982.
In those days, to qualify as a plumber 41 years ago, we had to pass with the knowledge of roofing, parapet walls and chimney flashings carried out with lead or aluminum bitumen products.

My apprenticeship was served through the public works department where we were taught the hard way.

I quickly became a leader with staff workers under my supervision and this is where I learnt about the entire building industry as we had to service all the government buildings throughout the Western Cape.

We also cater for re-roofing of all roof sheets, repairs to all tiled roofs and slate roof repairs and refurbishments / concrete decks – re-waterproofing with a 4mm heat fuse malthoid index system.

 I picked up on plumbing – tiling – electrical – bricklaying – plasterworks – painting – ceilings and most importantly roofing / waterproofing and box gutters etc.

I am a past member of the NHBRC and have built a few prize roofing houses – single/double and triple storey homes.

I also worked for the Building works department with the Cape Town City Council servicing all the roof repairs to the power stations and sub stations throughout the Western Cape. We carry out the following services in Milnerton: We specialize in domestic, commercial and industrial roofing and waterproofing and undertake roofing repairs, gutter cleaning, painting, ceiling repairs and waterproofing projects for complexes, Body Corporates and schools in the West Coast areas (Grotto Bay, Yzerfontein, Darling, Malmesbury, Langebaan, Jacobsbaai , Saldanha Bay, St Helena Bay, Britannia Bay, Paternoster, Velddrift, Port Owen and Dwarskersbos).
